Course Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals in community, home, or residential care settings who work under supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support.
Support is provided to individuals who require assistance due to ageing, disability, or other factors. Workers at this level take responsibility for their own outputs within their job role and delegation, applying factual, technical, and procedural knowledge to their practice.
To achieve this qualification, candidates must complete at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the assessment requirements of the units of competency.
There are no licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements for this qualification at the time of publication.

Entry Requirements
- Successful completion of Year 11 in Australia or equivalent
- Holders of an AQF qualification Level III and above
- Applicants with industry experience (without formal qualification) may also be considered
- Must be 18 years or older
