Enrolment for local students at MCTA is easy and straightforward. We provide a range of support services and resources to help you make the transition to studying with us. Our dedicated team is here to answer any questions you may have about enrolment.

MCTA is not a government-funded training provider and does not offer Skills First or VET Student Loan funding. All courses at MCTA are fee-based.

What MCTA can provide to students who choose to study at MOCHB is quality training and flexible timetabling to assist students in managing their working life alongside their study life.

Our courses are aligned with what the industry wants when a graduate commence work with them. Because the training at MCTA is work based you gain the practical skills needed to succeed in the workforce.

Entry Requirements

• Successful completion of Year 11 (or equivalent) in Australia

• Minimum age of 18 years at time of enrolment

•  Applicants without formal qualifications but with relevant industry experience in their chosen field of study may apply.


How To Enrol

Step 1 – Choose a course. You can select from many courses on our website.

Step 2 – Fill in the Contact Form or Email [email protected] to require the latest Enrolment Application Form, then submit the filled form via email.

Step 3 – Accept your course offer Letter

Step 4 – Pay your enrolment fees

All students must also have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. You can create one on the USI website (https://www.usi.gov.au/).

National Recognition

Melbourne College of Hair and Beauty recognises and accepts the qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation based in a State/Territory of Australia.

Course Credit

Course Credit granted against Units of Competency of a Qualification can lead to a reduction in the course duration and cost.

Course Credit may be granted to students who demonstrate appropriate prior learning or experience.

  • During the enrolment process, students will be asked whether they wish to apply for Credit Transfer or Recognition of Prior Learning.
    It is imperative that students understand that these options are available to them.
  • You may be eligible for Course Credit without realizing it. Even without formal study or training, knowledge and skills gained through education, training, work, and life experience can be recognized.
  • Course Credit granted against Units of Competency of a Qualification can lead to a reduction in the expected course duration.
